What is the benefit of increasing virtual memory in a computer System.How can i increase it ?

By increasing virtual memory you are in effect extending the main memory to accommodate more pages. This can make the life of the software developer easy as he can concentrate on the business logic rather than thinking about how to allocate additional page memory for his program in the OS level.

In windows, there are provisions to increase the Virtual memory through device settings . see one of the link below
