I am using AndroidStudio in VS 2008 with Windows 7 64 bit without any problems and menus are displaying it correctly. Of course Visual studio is English Version. One possibility is you might not checked visual studio 2008 option when you run your setup. Another possibility is you are using Visual Studio in a language other than English (and menus will be taking from different resource DLL). We didn't tested with that version.
